About Me

Hi, I’m Lisa. I am a seeker. As a lover of life I am on a continued quest to live my best life, purposefully, with intention.

Allow me to tell you a bit about myself and what brought me to create this blog….

I’ve had a fortunate life. I followed all the traditional paths that society thinks we should do. I got a good education at top undergrad and graduate schools; I followed my own passions and had a good career as a marketing executive achieving all the goals that I set for myself; I had a husband, a dog, a home, and great friends from all facets of life.  I would go on trips, to incredible events, dine at Michelin star restaurants.  Yet something started to feel like it was missing.  What is missing and would bring me more joy in life? As I have given myself the time and space to ask myself this question, I have realized more and more that it is that I yearn for deeper meaning.  It is not about what I can personally achieve or the things I can acquire – actually purging possessions feels really good! – it is about being more in service to others.  Using the gifts that I have accumulated of the years and helping others.  And doing so in a way that feeds me in how I want to live my life, with freedom and flexibility, even if that means breaking out of many of the traditional constructs of society that teaches us early on to want money, power, fame; to be independent, to get a good job, work hard and long hours, save for retirement, and then enjoy yourself and the fruits of that labor after 65.  I am not judging anyone for how they live and what they care about, but for me, I choose to shed my ego, to create a life of interdependence in which I value the love, strength and intimacy of my relationships first, and then can be in service to a greater purpose to make an impact.  To me, this feels like true peace and joy.

And so now it is time for me to search further for what this means to me.  To walk my own path to go deeper into my purpose.  One of the things that I care deeply about is connecting.  I have fostered friendships from so many different facets of my life.  I have loved travel ever since I was a young girl and my late father would take me on trips all over the country and world, and these experiences exposed me to new people that I learn and grow from.   I actively worked to create a new incredible community in California whom I call my Inspiration Tribe.  How people live and get support in tribe dates back to the caveman.  And so now, I am on a learning Odyssey to feel into how I want to evolve my life in how I live and work. As I do this, I am connecting with others that I want to support.

So what am I doing right now?

Since August 2020, I embarked on #vanlife and am visiting with dear friends and family all over the country enabling Acts of Connection.  I am asking each of them what their needs are so that I can determine how I can best support them.  In this time of COVID many people are struggling in different ways or are just craving connection.  So I am doing acts of connection kindness around the country and also collecting their connection rituals on meaningful ways they connect on a regular basis.  As I better understand what each loved one needs, I can better support, which brings me deep personal joy and also deepens my connection with each person.  I know this to be true because I live it!  So why not do what brings me and those I care about joy every day?!

I am excited to share my connection collection learnings with you.
